Emerald Home Furnishings, LLC (“Emerald Home”) warrants to the original consumer purchaser (“Buyer”), and to no other person, that the Emerald Home goods sold comply with the description contained in this warranty. All parts and products are warranted except: parts and products used for commercial, contract, rental trade, institutional, or other non-residential purposes; parts and products that have not been maintained in accordance with the care recommendations provided by Emerald Home; parts and products damaged resulting from Buyer’s improper assembly; or parts and products that are damaged/defective due to normal wear and tear. All natural wood products used in bedroom, dining, entertainment, youth, or occasional products are covered by this warranty for one (1) year. Upholstery items are warranted based on the product: ten (10) years for frames; two (2) years for pocketed coil seat springs; one (1) year for covers and foam; two (2) years for electric reclining motors; or five (5) years for recliner mechanisms.
LIMITED TRANSPORTATION COVERAGE:
Concealed Damage: Any damage noted upon unpackaging merchandise, where no damage was already noted on the packaging, reported within seven calendar days is covered at 100%.
Manufacture Defect: Any damage related to the construction of the product, that is reported within 90 calendar days is covered at 100%.
For either type of damage outlined above, reported outside the aforementioned timeframes, Warranty applies to the merchandise only.
Merchandise shipped on the Retailer’s Freight Carrier
Retailer must submit their claim to the carrier for freight reimbursement; Emerald will warranty the merchandise only.
Merchandise shipped on Emerald’s Freight Carrier
Retailer must submit their claim to Emerald within seven calendar days of receipt of the merchandise. A clear proof of delivery notating the damage must be provided. In the case of Concealed Damage, in lieu of the proof of delivery, a photo of the packaging and a photo of the contents is required. Upon receipt of the aforementioned information, Emerald will file a claim with the Freight Carrier for transportation reimbursement. Emerald will warranty both the merchandise and the associated freight charges. If reported after seven calendar days, the freight charges are not warrantied, and Emerald will cover merchandise only.
If, due to a warranted defect, an Emerald Home product or part fails to function during the warranted period described above, Buyer shall look solely to the retailer from whom the product was purchased ( the “Retailer”) for a remedy, delivering the product or part as well as the original receipt to the Retailer. The Retailer, in turn, will work with Emerald Home to determine whether the product or part is covered by the warranty provided herein, with Emerald Home having the sole discretion to determine whether the product or part is actually covered by the warranty. Following receipt of authorization from Emerald Home, Retailer will repair the product or part, or replace the product or part with same item, or in the event the exact item is no longer available, an item of comparable value. Buyer must report and file a claim with Retailer within the first 90 days of report. Negligence to do so will void the allotted warranty coverage.
